Availability

We aim to keep the site running smoothly, but we can’t guarantee uninterrupted access. Cheeky The Dentist accepts no liability for temporary unavailability due to technical issues beyond our control.

Cancellation Policy

To lock in your appointment we take a $50 deposit when you book. This goes straight towards your treatment on the day – easy peasy.

If your visit is 100% covered by your private health insurance, we can either pop the $50 back into your bank account or keep it on file as credit for next time (your call!).

We totally get that life happens – school drop-offs, surprise sniffles, or that one meeting that really should’ve been an email. All we ask is that you give us at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or shift your appointment.

If you give us less notice (or forget to show up entirely 😬), we may keep part or all of the deposit to cover the time we set aside just for you.

The voucher can only be used for an appointment booked with Dr Michelle Pinto, unless otherwise agreed by Cheeky The Dentist in writing.

The voucher may be used towards eligible teeth whitening treatment only. It cannot be used for check-ups, cleans, emergency appointments, general dental treatment, cosmetic injectables, retail products, or anything else your heart desires unless we specifically say yes.

The voucher is valid until 31st October, 2026. The appointment must be booked and completed before the expiry date. Once it expires, it expires. Like milk, but less smelly.

Only one voucher may be used per person. Vouchers cannot be stacked, combined, doubled, tripled, sweet-talked, or used with any other offer, promotion, discount, package, payment plan, or voucher unless Cheeky The Dentist agrees.

The voucher is not redeemable for cash, refundable, exchangeable, or able to be used for change or credit. No sneaky loopholes. We checked.

The voucher is transferable, but it may only be redeemed once. Lost, stolen, copied, altered, suspiciously laminated, or mysteriously duplicated vouchers may not be replaced.

Teeth whitening is subject to a dental assessment and clinical suitability. Whitening may not be suitable for everyone, including patients with untreated decay, gum disease, sensitivity, pregnancy, breastfeeding, existing restorations on front teeth, or other oral health considerations. If whitening is not clinically appropriate, Cheeky The Dentist may decline treatment. We like bright teeth, but we like safe dentistry more.

Use of the voucher does not guarantee a particular whitening result. Whitening outcomes vary from person to person depending on tooth shade, staining, oral health, lifestyle factors, and whether coffee is your entire personality.

Any treatment costs above the voucher value are payable by the patient at the time of treatment. Health fund rebates, if available, depend on the patient’s individual policy and are not guaranteed by Cheeky The Dentist.

Bookings are subject to appointment availability. Standard cancellation and no-show policies apply.

Cheeky The Dentist reserves the right to verify the voucher before redemption and may refuse any voucher that appears fraudulent, duplicated, altered, or used in breach of these terms. Basically, don’t be weird.

These terms are subject to change where required by law. Nothing in these terms limits a patient’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Before-and-after images and treatment results

‍

The following terms apply to all before-and-after photographs, videos, case images and treatment-result content published by Cheeky The Dentist on our website, social media accounts, printed materials and other advertising channels.

1. Genuine patient images

Unless clearly identified otherwise, before-and-after images show genuine Cheeky The Dentist patients who received the treatment described.

Written consent is obtained before patient images are used for advertising or marketing purposes. Where an image may identify a patient or reveal health information, it is handled in accordance with applicable privacy obligations. A patient may withdraw consent for future use by contacting Cheeky The Dentist; however, it may not always be possible to retrieve material that has already been printed, shared, downloaded or republished by another person.

Consent to use photographs for marketing is separate from consent to receive dental treatment. Agreeing or declining to have images used will not affect a patient’s care.

2. Images are illustrative only

Before-and-after images are provided as examples of results achieved by individual patients. They are not a promise, prediction or guarantee that another patient will achieve the same or a similar result.

Every patient is different. Treatment suitability and outcomes may be affected by factors including:

• The patient’s starting condition and tooth shade
• The type and severity of staining
• Oral health and gum health
• Existing crowns, veneers, fillings or other restorations
• The treatment selected
• The patient’s response to treatment
• Compliance with treatment and aftercare instructions
• Diet, smoking and other lifestyle factors
• The timing of the after photograph

AHPRA advises that before-and-after images can be misleading where they create unreasonable expectations, are not genuine or have been edited or enhanced.

3. No guaranteed outcome

Cheeky The Dentist does not guarantee:

• A particular shade change
• A specific cosmetic result
• That treatment will completely remove all staining or discolouration
• That results will last for a particular period
• That a patient will achieve the same result shown in an image

The likely benefits, limitations, risks and alternatives relevant to an individual patient will be discussed before treatment.

4. Image presentation and editing

Cheeky The Dentist aims to present before-and-after images fairly and accurately.

Images will not be digitally altered to exaggerate or create a treatment result. Basic editing may be used for purposes such as cropping, sizing, correcting image orientation, concealing identifying features or improving website presentation, provided this does not materially alter the appearance of the treatment outcome.

Where reasonably possible, before-and-after images will be presented using comparable:

• Angles
• Framing
• Lighting
• Magnification
• Camera settings
• Facial expressions
• Tooth positioning

Differences in lighting, camera settings, screens and image quality may still affect how tooth colour and treatment results appear.

5. Timing of photographs

Where practical, Cheeky The Dentist will identify when the after photograph was taken.

Results shown immediately after treatment may differ from results seen after the teeth, gums or surrounding tissues have settled. Treatment results may also change over time.

6. Teeth whitening images

For teeth whitening cases:

• Whitening affects natural tooth structure differently from crowns, veneers, fillings and other restorations.
• Existing restorations may not change colour during whitening.
• Results vary depending on the type and cause of discolouration.
• Temporary tooth sensitivity or gum irritation may occur.
• Results are not permanent and may be affected by food, drinks, smoking, oral hygiene and ageing.

A consultation or clinical assessment may be required to determine whether teeth whitening is suitable.

7. No clinical testimonials

Cheeky The Dentist does not publish patient testimonials that recommend, praise or comment on the clinical aspects of a regulated health service, including the quality of treatment, clinical outcomes, pain, recovery or results.

Any patient comments published by Cheeky The Dentist must not constitute a prohibited clinical testimonial under the National Law. AHPRA defines a testimonial as a positive recommendation or statement about a clinical aspect of a regulated health service.

8. Patient privacy

Images will only be used for the purposes authorised by the patient.

Cheeky The Dentist will take reasonable steps to protect patient privacy and, where appropriate, may crop or obscure identifying features. However, de-identification cannot always guarantee that a patient will not be recognised by themselves or by someone who knows them. The OAIC recommends obtaining consent even where an image appears to be de-identified.

9. Copyright and reuse

Unless otherwise stated, photographs, videos and other visual content published by Cheeky The Dentist are owned by or licensed to Cheeky The Dentist.

They may not be copied, downloaded, altered, republished or used for commercial purposes without written permission.

10. Individual assessment required

Website information and before-and-after images are general information only. They are not a substitute for an individual dental examination, diagnosis or treatment recommendation.

Treatment will only be recommended where the treating dental practitioner considers it clinically appropriate for the patient.

11. Questions or withdrawal of image consent

Questions about the use of patient images, privacy or withdrawal of consent can be directed to:

Requests to withdraw consent will apply to future use. Cheeky The Dentist will take reasonable steps to remove the image from platforms it controls but cannot guarantee removal from third-party websites, search engines, printed materials or content previously saved or shared by others.
